Terms of use

Short version: don't use lnk-me.com to hurt people, keep your manage page to yourself, and free links stop working after 30 days unless you pay.

What you may not link to

• Phishing, fake login pages, or anything pretending to be a person or company it is not.
• Malware, unwanted downloads, or pages that exploit browser flaws.
• Spam: links sent in bulk to people who did not ask for them.
• Material that sexualises minors, promotes violence against people, or harasses someone.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
• Anything illegal where you or the visitor is.

We remove links that break these rules without notice and without refund. We may also block the destination domain so it cannot be shortened again.

Your manage page

Each link is controlled by a private page whose address is shown once when you create the link. Whoever has that address controls the link. We cannot tell who the rightful owner is, so we cannot hand control to anyone who asks. If you confirmed an email on the link, you can get a new manage page through the Recover page, which also cancels the old one.

When links stop working, and paying

Links are free for 30 days. After that they stop working. A payment of $10 adds 365 days to the date the link would otherwise stop working, or to the day you pay if it has already stopped. Links that are not renewed within 60 days are deleted with their stats, and their short code may be reused.

Payments are processed by Stripe. They are not refunded if you delete a link or if we remove it for breaking these terms. If a payment fails to extend your link because of a fault on our side, report it through the report form on that link and we will fix or refund it.

No guarantee

We work to keep links working, but the service is provided as it is, without a promise of uptime. Do not put a short link anywhere it cannot be changed, such as a printed product, unless you accept that it may one day stop working. Our liability for any problem is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version applies to links created or paid for after the change. Prices already paid are honoured until the end of the period they cover.
